The Black Watch (RHR) relay a message NOT to send reinforcements as they are surrounded by enemy forces and in a hopeless position.

After being reported 'Wounded and Missing in Action" Lance Corporal George Lyall was rescued by American Forces in France and placed on a hospital ship home.

Safe and back home in Montreal being cared for by nurse's at the Queen Mary Hospital and then at the Ste Anne's Veterans Hospital.
